President’s Podium

Dear Members,

Happy Fall!! I LOVE this time of year – cool, crisp air, the beautiful changing colors of the leaves, the familiar routines of school, and lots of exciting NCMOTC events in the works. There are many fun things planned for the next few months, our Board members have been hard at work! I hop you will take some time out of your busy schedules to join us at a meeting, family party or ladies night out.

Last month at our General Meeting, many of us were able to take advantage of a program for the health and safety of our little ones, as we learned the basic skills necessary for CPR. Thanks to my husband, Rob, for a very informative presentation. Thanks also to Beth and Jodi for hosting this year’s Annual Family Picnic last month, great job ladies!

This month is a busy one for NCMOTC! Mark your calendars for the always-fabulous Fall Clothing and Equipment Sale at our General Meeting this month. There will be something for everyone and lots of bargains for those savvy shoppers! Our new Party team of Michele and Stacy has been hard at work planning the Children’s Halloween Party coming up at the end of this month. This is always a favorite event for our club, giving families a chance to socialize together with our children. I am sure this year‘s party will be fantastic as usual, with some new exciting things planned! There are also many wonderful and charitable events coming up sponsored by Community Outreach. Take the time to help out a worthy cause, while spending time with your NCMOTC friends. Details on all these events are in the Twin-Sphere.

And in the months ahead, at our General Meetings, the small room will be open for anyone who wishes to socialize instead of sitting in on the program. I especially invite our Alumni MOMs to come out to a meeting and join us for a chat during this time. If the topic isn’t a hot one for you, I know we can all use some time away from home with friends! As I always say, whether your multiples are 10 months or 10 years, this club has something to offer you, and you have something to offer other members. Even if coming to a meeting doesn’t work for you, join us at a Mom’s Night Out or at our Book Club for some good company and good conversation.

Don’t forget, there are still some positions that need to be filled and opportunities available for you to volunteer. We are still in need of Out and About and Older Twins and Siblings Coordinators. Speak to me or any member of the Board if you are interested. Many of these positions don’t require a lot of your time, but are important to the members of our club, and we’d hate to see them go!

I look forward to meeting and getting to know many of you at our upcoming meetings and events. Please feel free to introduce yourself, and speak to me at any time with any suggestions, questions or concerns you may have. I am always available and am happy to support you. Remember, this club exists for the support of its members, and we are here for you!!

Have a happy and safe Halloween!

Twincerely,

Theresa Koubek
