President’s Podium

Dear Members,

We all have so much to be thankful for in our lives.  I remember back when I first joined NCMOTC, when my twins were only 4 months old, and all the encouragement and support I received from other members.  This club has also given me many wonderful friendships.  NCMOTC is something I will always be thankful for in my life.  I hope we all can take some time as the holidays approach to reflect on our blessings and give of ourselves to those in need.  Whether you make a donation to our Helping Hands Thanksgiving baskets or Secret Santa, take on a little sister in our club who may need some support, or just come out to a meeting or event and share with other members, in our own way, we can each do something for someone else.

Last month, everyone found a bargain at our Clothing and Equipment Sale, as usual! Our Children’s Halloween Party was also another wonderful success.  Thank you to Michelle and Stacy for all their planning and hard work for this special event.  Samantha also saw great success in the Blood Drive and the FAAN walk, our Community Outreach events last month.

As we start to prepare for all the upcoming holidays, there is a lot going on in NCMOTC!  Be sure to come out for our General Meeting this month, on the topic of Pediatric Allergies, it is sure to be worthwhile.  Our Book Club is still in full swing, join us for an hour of good talk and good company if you can.  We also have some home-based business presentations on the alternate Tuesdays in the Church space, a great chance to pick up some Holiday gifts and support other members of the club.  Don’t forget to reserve your spot at our Mother’s Holiday Dinner in December (in lieu of a meeting).  It is always a wonderful night with NCMOTC friends.  Mary Grace and Michele are already planning our Children’s Holiday Party for December as well.  That is always a fun afternoon for our children to play with each other and enjoy a surprise visitor from up North!  Details on all these events are in the Twin-Sphere.

Don’t forget, there are still some positions that need to be filled and opportunities available for you to volunteer.  We are still in need of Out and About and Older Twins and Siblings Coordinators.  Speak to me or any member of the Board if you are interested.  Many of these positions don’t require a lot of your time, but are important to the members of our club, and we’d hate to see them go!

I want to express how thankful I am for all the hard work being done by this year’s board.  This is a fantastic and dedicated group of women, who give so much of themselves for the good of our club.  Ladies, thank you for all that you do for all of us.  I’m also thankful for the opportunity you all have given me to lead our club as your President once again, and I look forward to the great things we have in store for the months ahead.

Twincerely,
