July 2007
Dear Members,
As the 2006-2007 year for the NCMOTC comes to a close, I want to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their commitment to this wonderful organization over the past year. I especially want to thank the outgoing NCMOTC Board. I know everyone gave of their time and many went above and beyond when we needed it most. This past year saw our largest membership numbers in years, thanks to the dedicated work of our Membership ladies; our largest meeting attendances, thanks to the hard work of our Programming ladies; the largest profit from our Annual Fashion Show, thanks to the energy of our Fundraising ladies; and another First Place win for the Twin-Sphere at the State Convention, thanks to the creativity of our newsletter ladies. These are just a few of so many accomplishments for the past year, and everyone deserves a big THANK YOU, on behalf of myself and our entire membership.
I also want to thank everyone who has volunteered for a position on the 2007-2008 NCMOTC Board, especially those who stepped up to fill much-needed positions. I am excited to be serving as your club president for another year, and I look forward to working with another wonderful group of caring women for the good of our club. We will have some great things coming up for the months ahead, so stay tuned!
I hope you all will take the time to join us at the Installation Dinner this month, in lieu of our General meeting for July. Details are in this newsletter. It is sure to be a fun relaxing evening of good food and good company, as we thank the outgoing Board for their year of service and welcome the incoming Board. And of course, everyone will want to hear who will be this year’s Member of the Year, to be announced at the Installation Dinner.
There are many ways to be involved, and we have a lot of openings available for next year’s Board. I hope you will review the list in the newsletter and see where there are spots for you to get involved. Please contact me if you are interested or have any questions about what a position on the Board involves. I hope many of you will make the commitment to keep our organization running strong.
As summer draws near, we have some fun events planned for the lazy hazy days – join us for an Out and About, a Mom’s Night Out or our newly revived Book Club; details are in the newsletter for all these great events. Make the time to stay connected with your club, we are here for you, for support and encouragement, and for making lasting friendships on this “multiples” journey.
As always, I am here to welcome your suggestions or ideas, and to help you on your journey of raising multiples. Please feel free to contact me at any time, our club exists for the benefit of its members.
Twincerely,
Theresa Koubek
